He is supposed to teach the children to honor their father and their mother, but so far he is going against the Bible. He is living as a hypocrite! I am praying for him, but he has no right, I repeat, NO right to take children away from their parents! Did he give birth to them???? He is supposed to teach them God's word, and the parents drop their kids off so they can interact with other Christians in the same age group! Of course a child would agree with the youth pastor because he is fun. Well, life is not going to be fun all the time, and there have to be experiences! Lately the leaders of our government are trying to silence both the Christians and parents!

I will praying for the children, their parents, and the youth pastors. I am standing behind the parents and giving them my FULL support.

A concerned ChristianAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-88027082135973561.post-4058364497581882882007-03-25T23:18:00.000+04:002007-03-25T23:18:00.000+04:00There is one solution to this. Bring the kids back...There is one solution to this.

Bring the kids back home to their parents who bear the responsibility for teaching their children God's precepts. Homeschool them and avoid institutionalized programs where the following scriptures are broken: Deut. 6:6-7 Prov. 22:6 Luke 6:39,40 Jeremiah 10:2 Proverbs 13:20

Joshua, you're in a good position to talk with elders in your church and see about bringing parents back into the picture. Statistically, only 15% of the public schooled Christian kids in your church will be adhering to their faith by high school graduation. Whereas, 98% of Christian homeschooled kids will keep their faith by that point in time. So you're right: parents are abandoning their responsibility and giving it to you. And God never meant you to do their job.

Additional thoughts here:
http://www.voddiebaucham.org/Home.html

God bless you, Joshua! Thanks for your honesty as I appreciate where you're coming from. Continue speaking out. And Thomas, your stuff is great!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-88027082135973561.post-86946226946021994362007-02-01T08:52:00.000+03:002007-02-01T08:52:00.000+03:00As a youth minister, I can attest that I feel thes...As a youth minister, I can attest that I feel these sentiments. Parents drop their kids off at church, but sometimes they don't even do that. It's incredible. And, the church is blamed when they don't turn out right...Sure...Joshua A.
