This was funny! Maybe it's because I read it before breakfast and my brained wasn't awake yet, but I didn't even see the punch line coming, so it really got a good laugh out of me; one of those "of course!" type of reactions. Thanks, Tom, for putting a smile on my face this morning :-)

Too funny!

Do they come in wheat only? or wheat and chaff?

I don't know what's funnier, the post or the commenter who said his "brained wasn't awake yet."

HAH!

These things sound good. I'll have to give them a try. I'll serve them up with my famous "Posta-Bee" coffee. (If you're not sure what that hot beverage is, just remember that it's "Posta-Bee" (it is supposed to be) coffee.)

Since these rolls not likely to be available in stores, do you know of any churches that sell them?

I echo Ice, I was blind to the impending punchline. Very nice.

I'm sure we'll all enjoy these delicious rolls "as we serve togeether". I'm going to end up laughing out loud at work one of these days.

When at the dinner table you chow down
Til you can’t eat anymore
And you’re so full you can’t get out of your chair

When they ask who wants dessert
And you say “I’ll have none”
When the rolls are called “Up Yonder” you’ll be there

When the rolls are called “Up Yonder”
We’ll slather lots of butter
When the rolls are called “Up Yonder”
When the rolls are called “Up Yonder” you’ll be there

Eating so many we can't get up? That's the yeast of our problems.

Ok, The "Up Yonder Rolls" making light of the poor Christo-marketing trends was cute, but I lost it on the earnest gaze of the little girl in the photo and had to post. However, when I accessed the article from my reader and saw the good humor of my fellow posters, it was too much. Kudos!!

You know what's amazing is that when they make these just a little leaven leavens the whole lump.
